Ramon the Talking Robot
item # ??? by the Original San Francisco Toymakers

I don't have a lot of information on this cool looking robot yet - I just got him tonight - but I will fill in the bits that I do know now and the rest will fall into place later.

For starters, you see the remote control in the photo? I don't have that. I love that the Thrift Store has all of these great robots... I just wish they could keep up with a freaking remote! So, I can't put him through any of his paces, but I can report on his personality. Yes, you heard me (er... read me?) right - personality. As soon as I turned him on, I was rolling on the floor laughing my... well, you know the rest. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what all he was saying (did I mention that I was too busy laughing?), but I do know that he reminded me of Dustin Hoffman in the movie Rain Man.

From the way that all of his joints move, he seems to be extremely articulated. From what I read on the company web site, he can even stand himself back up if he gets knocked over! Not to mention he's the only robot I know of that can do the twist.

As soon as I can get a remote (hint, hint), I'm sure I will be updating this page with more of his antics...
