It's amazing what you remember from your childhood. I can't remember what I did yesterday, but I still remember playing with this little guy when I was a little guy!

He reminds me of the 2-XL family of robots, although there is no relation. The selector switch on the bottom determines the mode while the arms select the question and answers as shown on paper cards that you inserted. The button on top told Alphie you were ready for his action. He can even play several different songs if you place the mode switch on... hmmm... the music note?

I don't know when the white version came out - it looks newer than the Alphie II, but according to the name on it, it's a first run Alphie. If you know anything else about it, let me know so I can update this information.
