Daily Rants

10-05-10 ... OK. This is the one thing that I truly hate - the phrase "I could care less." Everyone uses it - newscasters on the evening news, authors in bestselling books, songwriters in Top 40 hits. All people that should know better. (Well, the songwriters can claim poetic license.) The phrase is not "I could care less." The correct phrase is "I could NOT care less." When you say that you "could care less," then obviously you do care at least a little bit, since you COULD care less. But if you "couldn't care less," then it wouldn't be possible for you to care any less. Using this phrase incorrectly only goes to show the lack of common sense in supposedly intelligent people.

10-03-10 ... Have you ever heard people talking about the elderly or disabled being on a 'fixed' income? Aren't we all on a fixed income? I mean, you make x amount an hour, you work 40 hours a week. That's what you make - no more.
