They are both made out of one inch pine and painted with a durable, oil-based paint that is easy to clean up. The bases, also one inch pine, are stained with either Provincial Pine (shown) or Red Oak before receiving two coats of clear polyurethane. She is 41½" tall and 17½" from the tip of her fingertips to the back of her skirt with a 13"x9" ornate silver tray. He is 36" tall and 10½" from the tip of his fingertips to the back of his shirt with a 6½"x8¼" wooden tray. Although the colors that you see are standard, the eye, hair and skin color can be custom ordered to (almost) anything you'd like. This is a bride and a groom that was custom ordered for a wedding. Everything is similar in design to the the French Maid and the Butler except that these are just shy of four feet tall with the trays at 36". Also, we had to edge glue two boards together to get the width we need for the figures to be proportional.

Next up is going to be a camouflaged version of the Butler with a rifle slung over his shoulder for all of your hunting friends and relatives.

If you would like to purchase one of these, or have an idea for a custom design, please send me an email at mrmagnet@bellsouth.net. I try to keep at least one French Maid and one Butler with the standard paint options in stock. Please understand that, since these are handmade and hand-painted, any request for a custom paint scheme will take addition time, and completely original custom designs may take up to two months from design to completion.
