This is a spider that you can build yourself, all the while learning a little bit about robots and electronics. It reminds me of WowWee's Cyber-Spider, only smaller, black instead of silver and without the remote. But other than that, they are exactly alike :)

The kit comes with 19 pieces that you assemble, step by step, with the included miniature screwdriver. Personally, I found that the screwdriver supplied was way to small to handle properly, so I used a jeweler's screwdriver instead. Aside from that, assembly is pretty straight forward and can be completed in an hours time.

After assembly, you have a robotic spider that will crawler forward until it runs in an obstacle or the batteries run down - assuming you set it loose in an infinite hallway! Both eyes light up red as soon as you turn it on, as well. I thought it was going to be more exciting than it really was, but my girlfriend enjoys putting kits like this together, so I guess it was worth it...
